Milan, May 17 (LaPresse) – “It’s great to have an Italian driver here at Imola, but let’s not forget he’s only 18 and we shouldn’t put too much pressure on him. Still, I’m sure Kimi will be a leading figure in Italian sport in the future,” said Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali to Sky Sport during the Imola Grand Prix weekend, referring to Mercedes’ young driver Kimi Antonelli and his first home race.
Domenicali also commented on Ferrari: “Vasseur must be given the space to work and stay focused on the project and priorities, because if things aren’t done properly this year, it could cost them in 2026. Let’s see how things go today. The tension between drivers is just part of normal team dynamics,” he concluded.
